Yondu Udonta is a prominent character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly known for his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He first appeared in live action in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Yondu, portrayed by Michael Rooker, leads a faction of space pirates known as the Ravagers. He abducted Peter Quill (Star-Lord) from Earth as a child after his mother's death. Instead of delivering Quill to his father as contracted, Yondu raised him among the Ravagers, teaching him to be a thief and a fighter.
Initially appearing as a gruff and morally ambiguous figure, Yondu's character develops significantly throughout the films.
